In the world of male models, there’s a lot more happening behind the camera than in front of it in Restart! It’s a sassy new yaoi about gay male love and ambition in the hard world of modeling. Tadashi is beautiful and he’s been the lead male model for a long time…but that’s changing. This is an industry that has quick turnover. You’re hot one day, cold the next. And with rising star Aki hot on his heels and three years his junior, it seems Tadashi’s day as an A-list model are over, but his love life is just about to heat up! A drunken night between these two hasn’t sated either man. But instead of reclaiming each other, they’ve been avoiding each other ever since! Each thinks the other guy hates him, each wants the other, each thinks otherwise, so you know something has got to tip the scale and burst for these two. And it sure does! Heated times are ahead but it’s not all in the bedroom! With one star rising and the other dimming in the business, it’s hard on Tadashi’s ego and his pride. Plus with all the A-list jobs, Aki hardly has time for Tadashi, making them both feel desperate. The insecurities in this tough business can be hard on anyone’s love life. Can these two defy the odds and find love together and stay together? It’s fun. It’s interesting and has some different art style than usual. A lot of it looks fairly like the norm of a yaoi but the erotic scenes have more line use than usual. The male bodies are leaner and have, well, more lines to them. It looks different to the average style which makes it a bit more interesting visually. There are also a couple of bonus stories. The first deals with a photographer and the one male model who he wants to be his one and only subject in every sense of the word. The second story is a bittersweet romance between a man and the brother of the guy he had fallen in love with before. Is the brother just a substitute or is it true love with the right guy for a change? Plus there’s a follow up, or I should say a flashback with Tadashi and Aki on how they first met, which was pretty funny depending on your point of view.
