Things heat up in Hollywood when a big actor from Japan complete with ‘tude gets on the nerves - and under the covers – with the Japanese-American scriptwriting rookie that nabs his heart in Like a Love Comedy! Biwa had a rough go growing up in the states. But he held a long cherished dream of making it big as a scriptwriter. Just when he thinks he’s getting his big chance – his dreams come tumbling down! Seems the studio wanted him mainly to play interpreter/babysitter for the Japanese actor they brought in for the lead role. But Yamato is arrogant, cold and stunningly beautiful –everything that rubs Biwa the wrong way. In fact Biwa blows up at the actor, getting Yamato’s attention and then far more as the more time they spend together, the more things heat up! Love and business rarely mix well let alone in Hollywood’s fast lane. Can these two make a go of it amongst the glitz and glam of La La Land? This yaoi novel doesn’t have your typical uke/seme relationship. With the aggressive world of showbiz, Biwa isn’t some reclining wallflower, he can’t afford to be. Plus being raised mainly American he doesn’t have the same amount of self-consciousness and embarrassment that native born and raised Japanese do. The cultural differences are immediately noticeable and add surprising spice to the romance and heat to the very heated exchanges. It’s not just a story about romance against the odds. It’s also the story about Biwa and Yamato trying to get a break and make it big in Hollywood. Who’s career will rise and which star will fall? And will these stars collide for some intense romance? Will it be a flash in the pan or a hit that takes off like a rocket? You’ll find out here in a new stand alone entertaining yaoi. When it comes to the illustrations that are here and there in the light novel I’m gonna get a little picky here (my apologies up front). It’s not that the men aren’t each appealing in their own way. The problem is the proportions. There are a couple of images that show one guy as being this huge torso and arms compared to the other guy who by comparison looks like a little kid, and that’s just wrong. They’re two adult men. Granted, one is a pretty boy, but they should still look both like adults and be reasonably in proportion to each other. Okay, the nitpicking on my art is over. Onto the good stuff, the novel part has an erotic full color cover page that will leave yaoi fans fanning themselves (or in need of a cold shower)!
