Clare and Raki travel to the town of Rabona as Rubel tells her she has another request from those high up in the holy town who say a Yoma has been stalking the place, satisfying its lust for killing and she must go and kill it, though anything impure including Claymores like her are not allowed into the town, so Rubel says it is a covert operation, hands her three special pills that will change her silver eyes back to normal human ones so she can enter undetected, though there is a problem. If she takes them her powers will be surpressed too, so she will not be able to sense the Yoma and will be at risk from the Yoma herself.

Rubel says she must find the Yoma the human way and destroy it before many more will be killed. Will the Yoma in disguise be a guard or priest - no one knows, but she must use all her skills to find it.

The idea is for Clare and Raki to dress as normal travellers, Raki as her brother. Nothing should go wrong with this plan if it is done right. Father Vincent meets them at the Cathedral, giving Clare safe passage with Raki, though the knowledge they will be put in certain danger does not make the two of them feel any better as the Yoma is very good at eluding Claymores, even ones as good as Clare.

Everyone at the Cathedral seems honest enough, but in the shadows something lurks and could be anyone in disguise.

This second volume carries on nicely from the first, and goes along to the third volume with its intense story. The art is faultless and shows the action that the reader will come to recognise and enjoy.

IN SUMMARY:
Unleash your inner demon with this dark story - cutting edge action, relentless.
