Yaoi fans prepare yourself for a thrilling crime drama as dangerous as it is sexy! S volume 1 is the first part in a short series of novels telling the story of an undercover cop and the dangerous high up Yakuza he gets involved with. Each novel is a stand alone and if the rest of the series is like the first volume, it will be a must have for fans of Yellow and Finder in the Target Series. Shiiba is a man with a tragic past. Having lost his only family from a stray bullet, he has undertaken the work of going deep undercover in order to stop illegal gun trade. A lone wolf with a pretty face, he ends up the object of obsession for his “S”, his inside man that he’s flipped in order to gain information. But when his S turns up murdered, he ends up with a new S. The dark and dangerous Munechika won’t flip for just any price – he wants Shiiba body, heart and soul! Crime and romance mix for intoxicating suspense in S. Extremely well written, the novel takes the reader into the seedy underbelly of Japan and its drug and arms trade. Shiiba finds himself getting deeper and deeper into a world he wants to destroy yet is inevitably attached to due to his tragedy. While his contact, Munechika, starts to seduce Shiiba and get under his guarded heart, Shiiba also must contend with the uneasy relationship he has with his brother-in-law and the dangers that arise when he becomes entangled with the lethal Taiwanese mafia. Danger lurks in every corner and desire waits in the shadows of this alluring crime drama and romance all in one. It’s a heady mix of thrills, chills and eroticism in Shiiba’s journey both as an undercover cop and as a man finding himself falling for the bad guy. This is one of the best written yaoi /shonen ai novels I’ve had the pleasure of reading. It also holds some appealing art within the book and a very explicit full color cover page.
IN SUMMARY:
A cop falls for the bad guy in this gritty and highly erotic tale of suspense. It is a must read for fans of Yellow and Finder in the Target.
