They survived the Dark Tournament, but now the real battle begins for Yusuke and the gang! They’re back on the mortal plane but someone has taken over Sakyo’s villainous plot to open the tunnel between this world and the demon plane - dooming humanity! Well, Yusuke and friends are all over that. At least, they want to be, if only they could figure out who was doing what… Mystery and action in the latest from one of the most famous action manga series ever. To find out more the gang checks into a hospital in Swarm City, but they might not be checking out! A mad doctor with some gross tendencies is working on the side of evil and a little dismemberment here and there thrown in for kicks. Yuck! The gang fights him but this guy is powerful. Plus he can dismember with a touch! It all makes this volume one of the more bloody and gore thrown into the action with the mad scientist guy. And he isn’t even the head cheese! The gang minus Yusuke decides to unwind afterwards, maybe take in some karaoke or pachinko, but then they’re attacked by Seaman, a guy who can drown them on dry land! Kuwabara and his buddies are in a tight spot and losing air fast. He awakens to a new power plateau but it’s the kind of skill that puts him on the radar of the bad guys big time. It seems they have a plan and Kuwabara maybe just showed them that he’s the key to all of humanities undoing! Speaking of humanity, their run in with Seaman leads them to the discovery of The Black Tape (sounds ominous doesn’t it?). This tape has all the vilest acts of humanity on it and it seems like the head guy of the villains, Sensui, is behind it getting play time. He’s using it to recruit his powerful psychics. Finding out that Sensui has it and what he’s using it for burns Yusuke's butt, but he gets worried when he finds out Sensui was once a Spirit Detective, just like Yusuke! But stronger! Their head honcho tells them Sensui’s story and this is one seriously righteous dude who went way warped during his many battles. Is there any way Yusuke can prove to be a match for his guy? He’s about to find out because Sensui has shown up and he wants Kuwabara and has no problems going through Yusuke to do it! The big bad face off is about to begin!
IN SUMMARY:
The Dark Tournament is over, but Yusuke’s troubles are just beginning! The head honcho behind the scheme to doom humanity is revealed and it puts Yusuke up against the wall and his friends in mortal danger!
