Tension is mounting as Sasuke and Gaara are in the arena and set to fight. As usual Sakura is nervous about her beloved, but the viewers will know he has plenty up his sleeve for his deadly opponent. Though the appearance of several Onbu Black ops causes concern about Lord Hokage.

Gaara is well known as a fierce warrior, but once he seals himself into a giant ball of armoured sand, Sasuke still has a technique no one other than his sensei Kakashi has seen which could open Gaara's eyes.

Sasuke uses the lightening blade technique of unimaginable power of which Kakashi has been teaching him, though it has to be wielded by one of almost inhuman capabilities, as when he uses it he surprises everyone in the arena - but is Sasuke a match for his opponent? As if this is not enough for the spectators, a secret operation lurks just around the corner.

Fears about a certain person seem true when the secret operation comes to fruition without any of the spectators noticing until the last minute. Nothing at all is what it seems while the games are taking place.

The second part of the series has been a real cliff-hanger and the story is developing into a gripping watch, as so far part one of the third series has been a build up to the Sasuke and Gaara match, yet there has been a hidden danger building and involving the Hidden Leaf Village and a certain evil person who was once forgotten and who has remained hidden from sight. Just as the viewer will think the main focus is on the Chunin exams, the attention shifts toward the other clans bringing about a possible war in addition to the already packed storyline.

The guys at Manga and Viz Media know how to create a good thing as viewers will have noticed from the last two episodes of series 3.1 part one that Sasuke and Gaara were pitted to fight in the one battle everyone was waiting for - but they still make the viewer wait in great anticipation, and that is the sign that they know how to capture their viewers minds.

Also, a continuation of snippets of Sasuke's intense secret training with his sensei Kakashi which uncovers a great deal of the dangerous nature and limits of Sasuke's new power.

My goodness! So much anime--so little time.
I hope there is such thing as reincarnation because I need more than one lifetime to get to all the anime alone.
I definitely need to win the lottery, though, because there are some series one simply must collect--and Naruto is at the top of the list.
