Animax’s news show to start broadcasting on May 8, 2008
Totteoki A News, Animax’s all original news show to focus on anime, manga, and motion pictures, and includes anime related events and interviews. The show is anchored by actress Nana Akiyama, French model and actor Gily Vincent, and news commentary by anime critic Ryusuke Hikawa.
Ms. Akiyam is a singer and a DJ, but is known for her role as Akira Amami in the 2005 feature film Mask Rider Kyouki. Gily Vincent is a French fashion model and actor who is fluent in the Japanese language. Mr. Vicent studied Japanese at a university in France, and attended Dokkyo University in Japan. He is known for his role as Jean Donnadieu in Nodame Cantabile TV drama. Mr. Hikawa who is an anime expert will handle the commentary of the show.
The half hour news show will premiere on May 8 at 10:30 PM every Thursday, and reruns will air at 7:30 PM every Saturday, and 11:30 AM on Sundays.
