A murder occurred at the hot springs where Sunako and the beautiful young men she lives with have visited, and Sunako finds herself in the thick of it, blood and all! Beside herself in evil glee, Sunako’s morbid curiosity about the murder lands her in the clutches of the lethal culprit! Can the guys save her in time?

Only Wallflower could turn a murder mystery into such farcical comedic fun. Next the screws are put to the men by the landlady to help Sunako better her failing math scores or else the rent will triple! Kyohei uses a kiss to kick start the girl but it instead sends Sunako into a tailspin. Unable to cope with being kissed by one of the ‘creatures of light’ she might throw all her efforts and more away in a flight of outrageous over dramatics. From there the anime enters into a surprising show of drama when it reveals how the four young men came to live together at the mansion. It wasn’t all wine and roses then. They clashed and fought like wet cats. One Christmas reminds them of their first and memories are shared, enlightening viewers a little bit about the character and background of the men in Sunako’s life.

Last on this volume but hardly least is the strange transformation that Sunako undergoes after eating bizarre mushrooms. Suddenly she’s the perfect lady, leaving the boys in the clear with the rent. But it may be that they actually prefer the real Sunako to the “fake” one. An anime all about the beauty within and how the real appeal is in a person being who they are, not what other people expect, Wallflower keeps up with the hilarious  over-the-top humor and heartwarming theme ongoing underneath all the comedy.

EXTRAS:
Bonus features include ADV previews, on-air openings of episodes 1 to 13, and clean opening and ending animation.

IN SUMMARY:
Murder mysteries, stolen kisses, and Christmas past are in the crazy comedy Wallflower. It’s one of the zaniest anime on the market!
