Five episodes this volume! Booya Bleach fans! And for you Chad fans there’s something special this round. He gets an episode all to himself when he goes up against the captain of Squad 8, Kyoraku, and find out just what makes Chad tick! Ichigo’s battle with captain Zaraki rages on and time is running out for Rukia! The action gets fiercer each volume of this anime! It starts off with Chad’s battle. Get the big low down on the tall stoic guy. There’s a reason for his pacifist ways. He made a promise and it involves a certain orange haired reckless guy by the name of Ichigo.
There’s a special reason why he’s there putting his life on the line for Rukia and Ichigo. Touching stuff, he’s so manly! With the huge fights there’s the looming sense that at least one of our heroes might fall never to rise again! With the way Ichigo’s battle is going, it just might be him! Zaraki is one seriously bad ass dude. Ichigo is getting his butt kicked and good. He has to get down and spiritual with his zanpaku-to Zangetsu in order to unleash his full spiritual powers. But will even that be enough against the reaper who wants only to fight the ultimate warrior? Episode 39 has coolest battle so far in the anime when Ichigo all supped up faces Zaraki. It also has a new ending theme song called “Happy People.” There’s a bit of background on “Kenny” and the girl who’s always with him. And as for Ganju and Hanataro, they make it to the White Tower. But when Ganju lays his eyes on Rukia he gets the shock of his life! Seems she killed his brother! Avenge or rescue? It’ll have to wait because her brother just showed up, one of the most feared captains out of all the Soul Society and he’s standing on the bridge - the only way out of the Tower! Ichigo arrives at the Tower to help Ganju and save Rukia, but first he has to face her brother Byakuya. But it seems the sight of Ichigo sets one of the Soul Reapers all a tremblin’. Just who does he remind the guy of? Is there a secret surrounding Ichigo that he doesn’t know about? And is it linked to the murder in the Soul Society? It looks like Ichigo is in need of some divine intervention to get him out of this one and you’ll never believe who intervenes! That’s not all the shocks and jaw-droppin’ moments in the show. It seems that black cat Yuroichi is about to let itself out of the bag so to speak. Yuroichi has been hiding one mega secret, just wait until you find out what it is! Just what is that cat anyway?
