Belldandy turned into a demon thanks to Marller’s latest trick and it leaves even Hild having sympathy for the goddess. But when Hild turns the tables yet again and insinuates herself into Belldandy’s life and Keiichi’s bed, there will be no sympathy for this devil in the latest and final volume of Ah My Goddess! This anime holds the magical power of being able to make the world seem better, colors brighter and infuse the viewer with a feel good mood from head to toe. It fills you with warm affection and every episode has been an utter joy to watch. The final volume begins with Bell returning from her re-licensing issue only to discover she has been turned into a demon. When she uses her magic for good, it backfires terribly and it’s Keiichi who feels the brunt of it. But can Bell, pure goodness that she is, bring herself to commit acts of evil in order to save the one she loves? As heartwarming an episode as ever, it will also leave you in stitches to see the “evil acts” Bell ends up committing. It’s not the end of Hild though. She reappears and she’s up to no good. But what else would you expect from the demon lord? This time she really does go too far, using a time spell to go in the past and put her first in Keiichi’s heart, erasing his future with Belldandy entirely! The three divine sisters go back to high school posing as different people in order to try to undo the chaos Hild has wrought and for Belldandy to win Keiichi’s heart all over again. The last episode is a perfect ending to this divinely romantic comedy. Keichi is still having a hard time saying those three special words to Bell. This time Urd and Peorth gang up on him to help him get the guts to finally tell her how he feels. But naturally, as with most of their magical meddling, it comes out all wrong and his confession has a much greater impact than even a goddess could anticipate! Will Belldandy ever hear those three precious words from Keiichi? You’ll find out in the heartwarming conclusion to the feel good series.
