CLAMP’s incredible supernatural fantasy series continues with some new turns in the road for Watanuki and his friends. He’s just recovered from his near death experience, brought back from the brink not only by Domeki, but by Syaoran from the other dimension. Not soon afterwards, he’s back at it, helping investigate a haunted house that a girl is terrified of sleeping in. But real danger waits, not only for Watanuki, but everyone he knows…

Such an amazing splash of comedy mixed with compelling supernatural oddities has each tale within xxxHolic never failing to surprise with its twists, going in an unexpected direction, taking the reader on a journey filled with surprises of all kinds. This is true as well for Watanuki who never has any idea of what he’s gotten himself into until after the deed is done, and maybe not even then. The story continues its crossover in this volume with CLAMP’s other sieres Tsubasa. The threat of Fei-Wang looms ever larger and dimensional witch Yuko is doing her best to prepare her young charge as best she can. But ever since his near death experience, Watanuki has been acting a little differently. And he’s not the only one, Domeki too has undergone some changes. The two now share more than they know and the fate of Watanuki may very well rest in Domeki’s hands.

The manga is doing a great job of building up the mystery of Watanuki’s upcoming fate and Domeki’s role in it. Yuko always say the most enigmatic things that only make sense after the events unfurl. With Fei-Wang’s maniacal plot unfolding at a deadly pace, Yuko prepares for the “final moment” she can feel approaching, but what that could mean is anyone’s guess unless you’re the dimensional witch. The manga is building up to its climax and it is making it exceptionally memorable along the way.

Manga extras include a 4 full color cover page and extensive translation notes.

IN SUMMARY:
As the story nears its conclusion, big changes lie ahead for Watanuki and Domeki as the final moment approaches.

I like the work of Clamp very much, and this would be in my top ten best buys.
The cover art looks amazing so the interior art must be cool too.
Looking forward to getting my hands on this!
