Every winter the furry residents of Tachiel throw a very special festival in order to awaken the Great Snow Spirit. But during this particularly cold winter, the residents of Tachiel are about to make some amazing new friends that will make this Eurocka very special indeed. In the latest adventure of Dayan, he and his friend are dealing with more snow and a colder wind than they’ve ever had before. But his clever friend and fellow feline, Jitan, knows the North Wind is bringing something special to their shores. Sure enough, a complaint by the grumpy Mister Slick has them rushing to the beach to see an iceberg and the area filled with polar bears, seals and penguins! These new comers are here to celebrate White Eurocka. Although Mister Slick is unfriendly at first, he soon warms up to the new Northern visitors and so too do all the Tachiel residents. They invite them to stay and even Dayan has two polar bears sleep over at his house. The full color image showing Dayan curled up against his furry polar bear friends is especially adorable looking. The White Eurocka festival is a wonderful flight of fancy and makes this volume of Dayan one of the more fantasy laden ones so far of the first three. The illustrations of the party is quite something filled with all sorts of different animals all getting along and having a wonderful time.

The third volume of Dayan shows a wonderful winter adventure with all new friends joining in an amazing seasonal celebration.
