After the fight, Tokiko brings Kazuki wounded and tired to a hotel to rest a while. Once feeling better, Tokiko hands him a description of the Papillon Mask they are trying to find, and who they think might be at the new school. As no one has seen this mystery male, Kazuki thinks it is time he showed them his artistic skills and draws a sketch of what he will look like if the description is correct.

Tokiko discovers there is a student who has been a third year dorm resident, but he has been out for the past four days. Nineteen-year-old Koushaku Chouno, originally hospitalised as a child from an illness believed to be incurable and since he was in hospital he learned the valuable lessons of alchemy and to Kazuki and Tokiko he could be their Papillon Mask.

For those who appreciate the wonder of Yu-Gi-Oh! volume two shows the reader various humanoid homunculi, King Cobra, Mita; Surinam Toad, Rose Hanasuma; and Gorilla Saruwatari are similar to the warriors in Yu-Gi-Oh! Hawk Washio is the latest humanoid they have to battle, even if he was a powerful hawk in a previous life, then made into a humanoid by the Papillon Mask. But in all this remember, all is not what it seems as there are twists in this volume the reader will enjoy.

Time is pressing and it is a matter of hours before Tokiko turns into a homunculus and Kazuki cannot allow that to happen. Not when there is a half-naked man running around in a butterfly mask and matching posing pouch!
The characters are well illustrated with great battle moves thrown in.

IN SUMMARY:
Explosive battles, compelling drama with fun and riveting action.
