The Hagwane has managed to fend off a couple of attacks, but what about the next, and the one after that? Just how much of a beating can Earth’s last hope take? They’re still Hell-bent on completing their mission to take out the DC main headquarters, but Zoldark has decided he wants the amazing battleship Hagwane for himself! It’s more mecha action and personal grudges in the latest volume!

The Hagwane gets lured into a trap and the DC is up to some mighty underhanded tactics! No sooner do they get through that scrape then the Hagwane is attacked all out by some of DC’s heaviest hitters! It’s that jerk Tenzan and the other biggest jerk Tomas leading the charge to take the Hagwane or destroy her. Big mouth Tenzan says some harsh things to sweet cutie pie Latun and burns Ryusei something fierce! It’s finally the re-match everyone has been waiting for. And they’re not the only two squaring off. Masaki gets a second shot at Tomas and this time only one will survive!

The team has to change tactics and take the battle to outer space in a desperate operation to stop DC from a space assault on the Federation Government’s core headquarters in Geneva. It’ll pit Rai up against his family, including his own dad! By the end of the day even Dr. Phil would have a run for his money trying to help out this family affair by the time the episode is done. It’s a decisive battle that could tip the balance of this war one way…or the other!

Man, the mecha battles keep getting better and better the further this TV show goes. The fight between Tenzan and Ryusei is something that could make Macross Plus fans appreciative. And the phoenix move Masaki pulls on Tomas is spectacular!  Plus episode 14 has an all new ending theme “Mo Ai Shika Irai” by Aki Misato. Very pretty. Plus the show takes some time this volume to cover background on some of the other pilots on both sides. There’s stuff about Rio, Latun and Ryota plus Aya.

EXTRAS:
The bonus goody for this disc is an all new 8 page booklet with background info, character and mecha profiles, including full color images and a glossary.

IN SUMMARY:
It puts the super in Super Robot Wars.
