It’s crude, lewd and rude – it’s Shin-Chan!

Episodes 27 to 29 of season two have some of the funniest episodes yet! There’s a presentation for the parents at Shin’s kindergarten class that is oh-so-wrong. Then find out what Georgie’s shameful secret is. Discover the horror and hilarity when Shin and Mitzy switch bodies! And see some bonding time with Shin and his lush pop. But the best of the latest is episode 27 which is a parody of the entire original Star Wars Trilogy. It’s Shin Wars baby! Booya! Forget about the Dark Side of the Force, now experience the terror of the “Dank Side of the Foot”! They spoof all three: Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi in one blow-out episode and it left me howling! The animation is the usual off the wall stuff but the Shin Wars ep has a really cool CG space battle as they go to take out the Meth Star. Beware of “Hentai mind tricks” and Master Puke!

The FUNimation English dubbed version is definitely for adults only. The comedy gets nasty in that way fans of South Park and Family Guy will crow about. It replaces a lot of the Japanese references with American pop culture trivia for zinger jokes that a US audience will laugh at for sure. Especially if you like your comedy down and dirty. I couldn’t keep track of all the potty jokes and sexual references they used, they just keep ‘em comin’.

The show doesn’t look like any anime I’ve ever seen. It’s much more in line with shows like South Park with strange exaggerated looking characters and foul humor. Some of the episodes have about 2 to 3 stories per, so it keeps the show hoppin’ and the minutes speed by.

IN SUMMARY:
If you like Family Guy or South Park you’ll die laughing over Shin-Chan! The rudest little anime you’ll ever see!
