To help Kail, Yuri has agreed to marry Ramses in a sham wedding in order to get close to Egypt’s dowager queen Nefertiti. However things are getting more complicated and more dangerous. Yuri discovers that Egypt is riddled with unrest as the people suffer under Nefertiti’s cruel iron rule. Meanwhile Kail has his own challenges when he discovers who has betrayed him and finally takes a stand to oust queen Nakia!

As immersing as ever, this fantasy epic never ceases to amaze with its in depth story telling. It balances intricate politics with large scale warfare. And in the middle of it is Yuri, a girl who has grown up very fast to take on the mantle of a heroine. Seeing the suffering of Egypt’s people, she cannot stand aside and do nothing. Even when her own people come to rescue her, she plays a desperate gambit in order to help save Ramses from Nefertiti’s evil clutches. Can she save him in time? Will this result in an all out civil war in Egypt? Yuri is coming to realize that Ramses and Kail are not so different. Both care deeply for their people. Both are noble and courageous men. Although her heart has always been Kail’s, will it remain so in the face of Ramses’ courage and strength? He reveals a deeply caring side and Yuri is not unmoved by it. With her choice keeping her currently in Egypt, it will be most curious to see what unfolds next.

For Kail, his discovery of the traitor and the direct tie to Nakia gives him the chance to at last oust the dowager queen of the Hittites. However it cannot be done without great risk. Maintaining that he will not allow his reign to be that of a tyrant, he will bring the evidence forth and let the tribunal decide. But how many of those people are under Nakia’s thumb? Kail is being overly naïve in his hopes for people to do the right thing and not consider that many in power are corrupt, like Nakia. It will be with some trepidation to discover how his act of conviction will play out.

IN SUMMARY:
It’s a riveting fantasy epic! Nakia’s actions have been exposed, unrest could become a revolution in Egypt, and Yuri is torn between her heart’s desire and her need to help Ramses and his people.
