Takeo runs a hugely successful company. This is a guy with money and power but he sure doesn’t look like it. This is the last guy anyone would think is a seme with his rumpled looks and nerdy glasses. And he’s got a major long term crush on hot headed Fumi. But Fumi hates otaku’s and guys with no style. And that’s exactly how Takeo is! Can brotherly intervention and an opportunistic secretary be able to stop Takeo’s heart from getting crushed?

It’s a fun, slow paced romance in this one-shot yaoi. The manga shows one of the most unconventional and backward relationships you’ll enjoy laughing at. These two spend time together all the time, even though harsh guy Fumi constantly criticizes Takeo and gives him a hard time. Takeo is the most passive seme I’ve ever seen! And do they date? One date and Takeo is asking Fumi to move in with him! These two haven’t even kissed yet! Talk about putting the cart before the horse! Fumi is dead set against it, that is until a certain female femme fatale shows up declaring she’ll steal Takeo away from Fumi and keep him all to herself! That gets Fumi’s dander up. Now if only the dense criticizing guy could figure out why the woman’s claws into Takeo upsets him so much.

The brother in question is Fumi’s and he sure has his hands full trying to get these two opposites together. He looks a lot like his brother and sure is a whole lot nicer. Maybe Takeo would be better off going for him?

The manga is light fun with a racy bit at the end. It also has a bonus story that definitely earns the word “steamy” about two guys working together and things get heated. The manga also has some comic panels on the covers. If you take off the pretty dust jacket you’ll find them.

The art style is nice and comely. It’s appealing with some explicit scenes towards the end of the main story and using a lot for the bonus one. The guys in the bonus story do look an awful lot like the guys in the first one but they’re not. So aside from needing more distinctiveness to the different characters, it’s an appealing manga.

IN SUMMARY:
Hot Steamy Glasses is a fun and light romance between and awkward guy and the harsh guy who he longs for and the two find themselves in an even more awkward situation!
