The sports festival is still on and the battle is raging! Bring it Class 2-C! It’s the final volume of School Rumble and the war of comedy is on!
The women’s relay race reveals a little more about Eiri. The men’s relay race has Harima as the star (and no one can believe it!), and in the aftermath Eiri scores a dance with “Whiskers” (Harima!!). Could he have a love interest, one interested in him that is?! Gasp! Now let’s recap – Harima loves dense chick Tenma who loves even more clueless Karasuma, yet Tenma’s older sister seems awfully sweet to the reformed thug (Harima) and now rich blonde girl Eiri seems to have a soft spot for the big guy. If only someone would buy this lot a clue! It’s too much for Harima, and taking the chapters right out of the manga, the anime sees Harima heading for the high seas when he high tails it on a boat. And this boat has one scary captain! When his manga yen is found out, the captain shows a surprising side to his Ahab self. The anime even has an off-the-wall one-of-a-kind opening for episode 25 featuring Harima and the crew on the high seas singing their own special sailor song! When he returns to shore cemented to win over Tenma, what doe she do? She asks him out! Could this be the date of his dreams? Of course not! The dude gets roped in by the cruelly clueless girl to help her shop for a present for the guy she likes – and that’s not Harima. Ow! His male pride takes such an ouchie this round! And this episode also has my favorite line from this volume: “The devil owns my heart right now.” Too funny! It’s hard to believe this is the last volume. Weep with me in loss my dear friends and fellow anime fans! Bond with me! And laugh your butts off at the insanity in the final episode. Karasuma might be leaving. Will Tenma confess her love? And what the heck does cat body switches and UFOs have to do with it all? It’s a story that can only be found in the zaniness of School Rumble! It has a special “School Rumble 4 Ever” ending! EXTRAS:
