The penultimate volume already? Say it ain’t so! But here we are, the next-to-last of the hooliganism and comic riot that this anime has been and they have some of the best episodes so far with girl fights, a new person on the scene, and a sports festival that gets way at of hand!
It’s frantic, fast paced comedy that’s off the hook and off the wall! First an art exhibit has guys and gals going wild. Then a stage wedding at a church leads to all sorts of misunderstandings and zaniness. A night filled with falling stars could be a nice peaceful time but not for this gang of crazies and weirdoes! But tragedy does happen this volume – Harima, the brave, reckless, romantic, gutless thug is brutalized by the girls and his whiskers will never be the same again! Don’t girls know a man’s beard is sacred? That’s just the start of the insanity this volume. Yakumo and Harima are rumored to be going on a date and it’s got Hanai all hot under the collar and cruising to give Harima a bruisin’! Things really heat up for Hanai when a wrestling tussle with the Latina Amazon Lala from class 2-D wants to battle quiet Karen of 2-C and it ends up being an all out athletic war between the classes. Even the teachers get involved! The sports rumble is the closest thing to a longer story-arc this show has ever had. It’s all out guts and glory! Calvary matches will never be the same. And neither will the male students when they get a look at the new hot school nurse. Nurse Tae Anegasaki shows up and it seems she has a little bit of a past with dense dude Harima. Just what is her connection to the closeted manga dreamer? All sorts of things to make you go “hmmm” in the latest and craziest volume of School Rumble yet!
