Things were going smoothly for Cassiel. After all, thanks to his dabbling, he has made a Terran Ranger Earth force to help fight his own alien invasion! But all screwball plots can go awry when big brother Jude arrives. He comes to spring a surprise announcement: he plans to marry Lady Velvet. She’s less than thrilled at the prospect and suspects a larger scheme between Jude and her father the emperor of the universe. But Cassiel is oblivious, living in his own little world with Terran Rangers and stars in his eyes for his big brother.  When a new attack on Earth is formed, Cassiel does his best to prepare his unhappy lot of Earth fighters, but what happens when big brother finds out? It’s more bizarre madness in the comedy Heroes are Extinct!

This manga exalts in zany fun. This second of three volumes however, also introduces a surprising bit of actual mystery. Readers learn about Cassiel’s background. It opens the door to some interesting puzzles like just what is his big brother up to, and what are the plans that are going on behind closed doors. And what exactly is going on with Velvet? And what is her father up to? All of a sudden, Cassiel’s plate is heaping with intrigue and he is too involved with his Earth conquest/defense to notice. A new general arrives to create havoc and of course Aster falls asleep which means mayhem, but it’s all a day in the life of an invading alien general‘s dreams. At least galactic general Cassiel’s dreams.

This unexpected twist to things raises the curiosity level to discover just where this madcap story is going. The journey so far has been a lot of fun.

Extras in the manga include a slipcover for you to remove in order to see the roll calls hidden on the front and back covers, the cover has the Bazue players and the back has the Terran Rangers.

IN SUMMARY:
Alien invasions, secret backgrounds, hidden plots and more are in the latest madcap volume of Heroes are Extinct!
