Itsuki’s buddies just got their hides handed to them in spades by the monster Air Trecker Buccha who’s been terrorizing the school at night. You know Itsuki won’t stand for that! But with his Air Gear needing parts big time, what’s he going to do? Soon he puts the pride of his friends and his own hide on the line as goes up one on one in a parts war against Buccha. It’s a harrowing race of speed and guts and aerial tricks that will leave you gasping to see who wins as it comes down to the wire with who’s heart has the fiercest fire in this latest volume of the rip roaring manga. The big parts battle with Buccha takes up a good portion of this book. It has some awesome art work. Some of the images and action are stupefying. And just when you think it’s all over, surprises around every corner. This is one of the most exciting manga out there. The story never lets up with the thrills. And now that he’s gone through this battle, Itsuki will find himself out of the pan and into the fire! There are eight keepers of eight roads with eight emblems. Itsuki might have what it takes to reach them but it will mean air trek battles all the way! He loves flying more than fighting. Can he be a lover of the air and a fighter too? And don’t you fans worry about the fan service. The last chapter has Simca back and baring it all (literally) when she confronts Ringo about her feelings for Itsuki. Will Ringo fess up? And is Simca a friend or a foe? Extras include a helpful Air Gear reference guide that has all sorts of info and original sketches, a lot of translation notes, and a preview of the next volume in Japanese. IN SUMMARY: Air Gear is one of the wickedest cool manga out there! Mind blowing action and art paired with kickin’ fan service. Manga doesn’t get better than this. |
