Zoldark and the DC have been pounding the Earth Federation Army and even destroyed their flagship! But don’t expect the Earth forces to take it lying down. They’ve got an all new warship, the Hagwane, and they’re about to pay the DC home base a visit!

Finally the Earth forces decide to strike back. They get the Hagwane up and running and gain a new crew member, the cute former classmate of Ryusei’s, Kusuha joins the ranks. Ryusei is as clueless and as mecha fixated as ever. He doesn’t seem to notice the eyes she’s giving him. But this show isn’t about the lovey dovey stuff – nuh uh! It’s about the mecha action! The Hagwane gets attacked before it’s ready to ‘set sail’ by those DC baddies. They make a narrow escape and decide it’s time to take the battle to Zoldark and embark on a special visit to one of the DC bases before they goes up against the home base.

The island attack is a prelude to the big strike against DC coming up. It’s a bit of mecha action tease if you will. A little mecha war foreplay before the real deal, the big bang happens. Considering how close the fight gets, those Earth forces might want to start worrying about their strategy to attack the home base of DC. They might not be ready for it. It could be a suicide mission.

Two major things happen in the drama department aside from the Hagwane taking flight. First is Rai. It seems he’s had to choose sides. Either he sticks with his own convictions and stays with Earth Federation or he sides with his family and has to go with DC! If he chooses his convictions, then he’ll have to face his own family on the battle lines! Tough choice! Personally I’d love a go at a couple of my family members! Ha! The other big deal is the arrival of the constantly lost fighter pilot Masaki, his two kitty familiars, and his huge mecha the Cybaster! Now it would be sweet if the guy with the biggest fire power joined the group. After all he wants to bring down Shu in a big bad way. But he prefers to fight alone. With this guy and his perpetually lousy sense of direction, Masaki going it alone really would be a suicide mission. Will the Hagwane gain a valuable pilot and much needed mecha? Hmmm….

EXTRAS:
The bonus goody for this disc is an all new 8 page booklet with background info, character and mecha profiles, including full color images and a glossary, plus comments from a bunch of the Japanese voice cast.

IN SUMMARY:
The Hagwane takes flight, prelude to an attack, and finally they strike back at DC! The fate of the Earth is in their hands!
