Being a wizard isn’t easy, even if you are a member of the Fairy Tail wizard guild. Lucy needs some cash and luckily there’s a big bounty for a hidden book in a huge mansion. Unluckily, she has to find a way to get past the freaky deaky duke and his bodyguards – The Vanish Brothers! Even with Natsu helping, it’s harder than they think to get past the pervy duke and his powered up henchmen. But Natsu is always good to go in a fight. And in the meantime Lucy uses her wits and stumbles on the book and its secret! But it’s a secret that dastardly duke is willing to kill to keep safe! It’s power and peril in the latest volume of Fairy Tail!
The secret of the book ends up being a heart string tugging moment. But warm fuzzies don’t last long when the scary wizard Erza returns to the Fairy Tail fold. She’s tough, she’s mean and everyone is scared stupid of her. She grabs Natsu and ice magician Gray for her latest and very dangerous mission. Lucy is a reluctant fourth party to this troupe as they hop on a train and get nasty with some outlaw wizards! It seems the dark guilds, those lawless wizards that follow only their own whims and cash, are up to no good. And this team is about to head straight for the worst of them. There’s an assassin wizard named Erigor and he’s after the Lullaby – a mass murdering death spell! He’s got his entire Eisenwald dark guild after it and Erza and the rest of her small team are trying to stop him. But if he gets to the spell before they do, they’re toast! Great action, cool suspense and more wacky magic moments make for kick ass action and adventure in Fairy Tail. This manga is winning me over quickly. This volume we get to hear more about the guilds and how they work, and about those dastardly dark guilds…scary fun stuff! Plus there are more awesome wizard powers in combat. These Eisenwald dudes are out for blood, but then again so is Erza! I don’t know who to be afraid for – her or them! Manga extras have a glossary, some design sketches, translation notes and a preview of volume 3 in its original Japanese. IN SUMMARY:
Dark guilds, death spells, and scary wizards oh my! One Piece fans will love this manga series! It’s quirky, it’s action packed, and it’s total fun!
