After the big rematch, both Renji and Ichigo are hurt bad and Renji’s in custody! But the Soul Society has more on their minds than Ichigo with a murder by one of their own! Ichigo gets closer to the White Tower but first he has to fight the dreaded captain of Squad 11 and this guy is psycho! Brace yourself Bleach fans, things could get ugly for our favorite carrot-top!

Ichigo is still on the loose but the Soul Society has another problem – someone is murdering them! It’s not Ichigo’s lot, they’re the good guys. So what gives and who’s the dastardly culprit? It seems a good-intentioned captain was getting too close to something that could rock the soul society and shake them in their boots. Sweet Momo finds out and she ends up drawing her blade against one of her own! It’s only when she’s locked away that she finds out what the real deal is. I wish she’d tell us! We’re still left in the dark and things are looking grim for everybody in this volume.

Sure Ichigo managed to get past Renji, but now he has to fight Kenpachi, the most psychotic and feared captain of the entire Soul Society! And he can’t be hurt by Ichigo’s Zanpak-to! Time is seriously running out for Rukia. She just wants Ichigo to be safe, he just wants to save her, and somebody maybe wants everyone else dead! Holy murder mayhem Bleach fans!

It’s this kind of suspense and adrenalin pumping action that makes this anime one of the top ten series.  We’re hitting episodes in the thirties and this show is as, if not even more, addictive than when I first watched it. The only downtime viewers get this round is with a look at how Ichigo’s sisters are doing. A run-in with a ghost cat puts the cute girls on the radar of the Hollows and its Don Kanonji to the rescue?! Waitaminute! We all know that dude is crazy. But the girls don’t have their brother to come save the day. They end up getting help from Jinta and Ururu for a funny episode with a heart tug at the end.

EXTRAS:
Extra goodies include stickers, production art gallery, manga previews, clean ending animation, and trailers of other anime titles from Viz Media’s Shonen Jump video line.

IN SUMMARY:
Ichigo gets closer to his goal only to be stopped by his most formidable opponent yet while someone is going around and offing members of the Soul Society! It’s murder mystery and heart-pounding action!
