Insane comedy ensues when the timid Kanan gets the most incredible roommate – a handsome merman! He isn’t just any regular fish out of water though. He’s the prince, heir to the throne to be King of the Sea! And now this arrogant and demanding man is bunking with Kanan of all people. He orders Kanan around like a servant. But the tide starts to turn when the prideful Kaioh decides to show Kanan what he really wants!
This one-shot yaoi tale was a sheer joy to read. It has fun fanciful art and a marvelously entertaining story. The whole creative take on mermaids is loads of fun and creates a comedic romantic fantasy for readers to enjoy. The whole adjustment to Mr. Mermaid living with him is quite the trying time for Kanan, but he also has other worries. He gets bullied at work on top of being bossed around at home. But at home he has the undivided attention of the future King of the Sea and is taken on one amazing experience both under water and on land. Things get perilous when he is taken to the underwater castle and is quickly abducted by a fellow merman. And this fellow has a long held grudge against Kaioh. There are sharks in these waters and that’s both literal and figurative. Can timid little Kanan hold his own for the sake of the merman he loves? You’ll find out in this fantastic addition to shonen ai. This manga is so funny! Throughout the entire piece Kanan never ceases to refer to Kaioh as “Mister” Kaioh, even when in bed. The combination of sexy and fantastical makes for a great romantic adventure with its otherworldly twists. The art style is engaging and fun-filled like the story. The mermen are beautiful beings. The quirky comedy shines particularly in the bonus story, revealing the yearning love of a giant clam! Get ready for guffaws and a sweet ending. IN SUMMARY:
A timid human and a merman fall in love in this wonderfully entertaining romantic comedy!
