After being told how it was really like in the Ishbalan war, Edward Elric has some thinking to do about what direction his research should take. Meanwhile, Alphonse Elric is still with May Chang, a princess of her clan in Xiang, and Lanfan, one of Lin’s guardians at the doctor’s. In order for the fighting that constantly goes on between them to stop, May leaves to continue her journey with Scar. During all that, Al leaves for the night to meet up with Ed to decide their next move.
When they decide to pursue why their alchemy didn’t work in the Father of the Homunculi’s presence while May’s did, the search for answers takes them to the Northern base. They’re in for a surprise when they meet the commander. The art is wonderfully drawn as usual with as much detail as possible. The faces are very expressive and the backgrounds very realistic. The action sequences are as good as ever. IN SUMMARY: As usual, Fullmetal Alchemist delivers a gripping continuation of the story, fantastic art and unexpected twists and turns. This latest volume definitely does not disappoint!
