The off-kilter comedy continues to leave one breathless with laughter in the latest madcap antics of Wallflower. The four beautiful guys are in a slump and getting cranky when Sunako hides away in her room refusing to clean or cook. They rack their meager brains trying to figure out what put the creepy girl so down in the dumps. It’s Noi who has to buy them a clue and make them realize Halloween came and went and a certain Goth girl missed out on the fun.

The way the gang goes about trying to make it up to Sunako is both hilarious and sweet. But it’s not the sweetest or most comedic occurrence in these latest episodes. But before the saccharine hits the fan, a gang boss shows up to challenge Kouhei. This big guy has fallen for Sunako and kidnaps her, forcing Kouhei in a brawl with Sunako as the prize. The sugary sweet mentality occurs later, when winter and a gentle snowfall make grumpy Kouhei sentimental. Seems he always yearned for nabe, done the old-fashioned family way – something he’s never had. When grocery shopping goes horribly wrong between Sunako and Kouhei, she ends up trying to make the blond boy’s dream come true. It’s an endearing episode, still rich with the off-the-wall humor that makes this anime so original and appealing.

That little spark of romance between Kouhei and Sunako isn’t the only embers of passion stirring. A trip to the hot springs has Noi trying to get closer to Takenaga. The two are now a couple but she wants to use this trip as an opportunity for romance and even to move in! She manages to rope Sunako into her scheme with a hilarious incentive. All that gets pushed to the side though when Sunako has a dream come true – she finds a dead body! It’s the first part of a murder mystery and it will be very interesting to see how Sunako deals with this macabre delight to her morbid senses.
