From the beloved author of Our Kingdom comes an all-new and entertaining yaoi comedy about love, life and laughter in the school halls of Great Place High School.
This manga stands out from regular yaoi in its presentation. Aside from 8 full color pages within the manga, there is a fold-out full color page inside the cover. But its biggest unique feature is the storytelling style. The manga focuses on two couples. First the president of the Information Management Club (aka Computer Club) Tsuruga and the newest member, an incredibly cute guy named Minami. The problem is that Minami has a strange ability beyond his control that causes anything, absolutely anything, electronic around him to break! It puts Tsuruga in quite the quandary, of course he could simply refuse Minami admittance. But there’s the problem of him finding the boy ever so cute and adorable that is causing him an inability to say no. The second couple is the rough-and-tumble Student Council president Rin. He’s always getting into scrapes. Hardly the dignified behavior one expects from the leader of the Executive Student Council. It’s a good thing he has tall, cool and dangerous Eichi looking after him. However these two men share an interesting past and a very heated present. The stories are high spirited energetic comedy mixed with a dash of angst. Where Tsuruga and Minami are cute and endearing, the passionate tale of Rin and Eichi is explicit and incendiary. However, what makes them particularly unique is that the story of Tsuruga and Minami is told completely via short four-panel comic strips. Pages and pages of them. It breaks the story down into a myriad of highly comedic tales of the two and their progression from acquaintances, to lovers amidst the many electronic fiascos Tsuruga must face because of it. The tale of Rin and Eichi is told the standard way, with typical manga format pages. The way the format changes every so often as the story switches focus between the two couples keeps things as lively visually as the story and its rambunctious characters. It makes for a very different experience manga-wise. Although it’s not something I would generally go for, as a unique experience it was fun and a change of pace from regular manga genre storytelling. This comes straight from the artist of Our Kingdom, a personal favorite, and offers energetic characters and intense men. It has lots of fun while maintaining the sexy quality of the characters or cute moments depending on the scene. Things are cute and sweet with Tsuruga and Minami. With Eichi and Rin they are erotic and hold high sexual appeal. IN SUMMARY: Two very different couples, one unforgettable school!
