Nanako’s the pretty girl that in reality is a spoiled tomboy brat while Akira is the wimpy guy crushing on her and goes unnoticed by everyone except his best and only pal Senbongi. One fateful day, he goes to visit the girl of his dreams (and most guys’ nightmares) and ends up the guinea pig in her crazy grandfather’s experiment gone wrong – way wrong! Before you can say “Doh!” Akira’s personality is trapped in Nanako’s luscious female body while she’s in his. Things are about to get super confusing and insanely funny in the madcap antics of this manga!
Boy meets girl. Boy likes girl. Girl ignores him. Boy gets trapped in her body by a mad experiment and vice versa. And that’s only the start of this wacky series! Now that they’ve body switched, they have to pretend to be each other while waiting for Nanako’s lazy and self-serving grandpa to fix his crazy machine. Don’t hold your breath there. Plus things seem to be turning a particular shade of weird the longer these two are switched, and Nanako’s likin’ it! As a guy she’s now the manly “Akira” his family always wanted, the girls all swoon over, and his classmates admire. As “Nanako”, Akira with his effeminate ways is catching the eye of a particularly convincing playboy – his best friend! At the same time Nanako’s best pal is shimmying up to “Akira” without ever guessing her best female friend is in that male body. In a crazy turn of events the two body-switchers are now dating their best friends. Akira keeps hoping for a cure and doesn’t know what to do about the advances he’s getting from Senbongi. He’s also majorly upset that Nanako as a girl is a better well-liked man than he ever was. It’s hard on a guy’s pride for sure. But Nanako is digging it big time! She loves being a guy and thinks it’s great that she gets to date her best gal pal. So much so that she has no intention of switching back! What’s a guy-turned-girl to do? The art is fun and fancy in that humorous shojo kind of way, but all for big laughs. It shows beauty images with the surrounding flowers and twinkling stars for the different characters when they have their charm going on, much to poor Akira’s distress. The manga is funny, wacky and loads of fun and the art pairs up with it real well. IN SUMMARY: Comedy, drama and gender-bending comedy that will blow your mind! It’s all in the new manga series Your and My Secret! |
