Active Anime interviews the cast and crew of Blood + via conference call during WonderCon (Feb 22 - 24), and here is the second part of the interview with Voice Actors Ben Disken and David Wittenberg, with a final comments from everyone from the cast.
Voice Actor Ben Disken on Kai
Your character goes through quite the evolution in the first season. His steadfast loyalty can be sometimes single-minded. Do you think he made a mistake sticking to Saya, especially in light of what happens to their
family" along the way?
What do you consider to be Kai's biggest strength?
You have been voicing mainly American cartoons until recently, how would you compare your acting in Blood+ to other animation that you've done, and what was the most challenging thing for you as a voice actor when recording for Kai?
Voice Actor David Wittenberg on Solomon
Solomon is one of the more mysterious characters in the first season, although he doesn't play a bigger part until the latter half. What do you think his real agenda concerning Saya and Diva is?
What is it you like most about your character?
You've voiced other anime characters, but what do you think that is different with your role in Blood+ compared to your other characters?
