Nami chooses courage over cowardice and braves the trip to Ryutaro’s hometown in hopes of being by his side and helping him in his time of need. But the trip isn’t an easy one. She’s never been outside her hometown before and being on your own in a strange place can be pretty scary. Nevertheless, her feelings for Ryutaro drive her forward, and as she retraces his steps, learns things about the boy she loves and the power of the heart.

The final volume of the bittersweet drama finds a gentle lull rich with underlying emotions as Nami learns a great deal about the Ryutaro that existed before the accident and the Ryutaro now, weighted down with so many burdens. In the end, when reunited, a trip to pay respects to those who passed away in that tragic accident years ago fill Nami’s heart with the need…to do something. Magic blossoms at the most unexpected of times and the girl who turned her back on magic and refused to believe in herself might just be able to give something precious to those around her for them all to believe in.

Like a spell, Someday’s Dreamers has a lovely touch with deft writing and beautiful art to weave a quiet tale that gently finds it’s way into the heart of the reader and blossoms unexpectedly, like Nami’s magic, to evoke surprising emotional depth. The final volume focuses almost exclusively on Nami and Ryutaro finding their way back to each other, only moving in the final chapters to the larger question of the future with graduation pending. Then the rest of the group is seen and some minor follow-up occurs, showing what everyone plans to do after they graduate. For Nami it isn’t a clear path though. If she chooses to become a magic user then she will risk being away from him while she trains, perhaps for a good couple of years if not more. But if she doesn’t become a licensed magic user then she will be forbidden from ever using magic again.  Nami thinks she has two heart’s desires: one for Ryutaro and one for her magic. However, a chance meeting with a certain magic user from the original manga series will perhaps convince Nami that those two hearts are actually one and the same. It’s a beautiful conclusion to a sweet drama.

IN SUMMARY:
The spellbinding drama about love, life and magic comes to a tender conclusion in this final volume.
