The Kanto Tournament Finals have seen some serious tennis action for sports fans and competitors alike. But now that Seishun is playing the top team Rikkai, it looks like their hopes of winning are spinning out faster than one of Ryoma’s serves! They’ve already lost one doubles match. The Golden Pair has reunited but with one of the players fresh back from an injury, does he have the edge they’ll need to win against the infamous “Con-Man” doubles team?
Most of this volume is the amazing match between the Golden Pair and the dominating Rikkai doubles team. Masaharu and Hiroshi have a move called the “laser beam” and it looks like it will be more than even the Seishun Golden Pair can handle! These boys have some skills up their sleeves so don’t count them out just yet. Readers get a flashback to their first meeting and how and why they became the Golden Pair. Moving, inspiring, and lots of suspenseful sports action. It blends for a surprising game result and a lead-in to the singles match coming up: Renji Yanagi of Rikkai against Sadaharu Inui of Seishun. We all know how Inui loves to collect his data and play a flawless game. However, he and Renji share a history. They know each other from long ago and it seems this match is more personal for Inui than most. There’s unfinished business between them. And there’s the added pressure that if Inui looses so to go Seishun’s chances of winning the tournament at all. IN SUMMARY: The Golden Pair may have just met their match in the latest volume of Prince of Tennis! |
