They’ve caught the culprit posing as Narumi, but wait until they hear his story! A top model, a special effects makeup artist’s dream dashed…it’s all a day in the life of Beauty Pop. It’s time for students to mark down what their future careers will be and Kiri is having a difficult time deciding. Narumi learns about the trauma that has long prevented her from pursuing the path of a beautician. He chooses to share his passion for styling with her and it just might make the difference! Will she join the Scissors Project at last?

This refreshing series keeps things entertaining by demonstrating some evolution with the main characters and introducing a new rival into their lives.  A spoiled child star brings out the best in Kiri but also brings her up against the up and coming hair stylist in Hollywood – Billy. She, as usual, is completely uncaring about arrogant types and pays no attention to egos. But there does seem to be something wrong with Narumi lately. There are hints all along this volume and when the project puts on their latest showcase, Narumi falters and Billy appears! The SP has a new challenger, but with Narumi having problems, this could end up being a loss for the SP.

The latest volume of the manga also shows Kiri doing her first male makeover. When Chisami has a blow-out with her longtime protector, it’s Kiri to save the day, or at least point the ultra-cute girl in the right direction. This chapter reveals just why Chisami behaves the way she does, engendering greater sympathy and depth to her character.

There’s a fun bonus story about a beloved pet and a ghost tale haunting the halls of the school (and Narumi proving again that he’s a fraidy cat for spooky tales). There’s a lot of comedy to it, but the end will steal your heart.

IN SUMMARY:
Futures are decided upon, Narumi’s in trouble, and Kiri has a new rival when the rising star in America makes his move on the SP! Beauty Pop is a manga a cut above the rest!
