Cou and his companions from Arc-Aile battle against the Chaos Choir leaders who sieze Ren, yet when they realise Chaos Choir's home is actually in Edel Garden, the place known to be the Edel Raid paradise, they are utterly astonished.
The Chaos Choir now plan to kill Cou and take Ren as their queen. A more startling revelation is heard when Ren is told that the Chaos Choir and Edel Garden are one and the same, and due to them believing Cou does not value the organisation and wants to oppose their choice of queen, he is to be destroyed. Queen Eve's powers are almost exhausted, and the Edel Raids must take up arms against Arc-Aile in one of the most devastating battles yet. All the fighters and Sting Raids are in place ready for battle, but will they win when the queen is near powerless? While Sisqua, Ren and Cou and the others go to see Shnables on a matter of helping out Ren and Cou as they are injured from battling with the enemy. At the base, Sisqua by accident meets Sunwell who is also recovering from battle scars in a hospital bed. She has a private talk with him as the others are placed in care elsewhere. The High Council has declared Edel Garden must be destroyed due to the rebellion against humanity. Orders to attack Edel Garden will be given soon. How can Arc-Aile and Chaos Choir be prevented from destroying each other? The story is now showing the true framework and how it will be so near to the conclusion in this sixth volume as the Edel Raids are ready for battle against the humans who want to dominate their kind and use their power for battle. The Edel Raids have a very ancient history of power that is brought to light in the first episode, which was originally used for good. They would sing songs and use that power for healing yet man found out about it, and wanted it for themselves.The Edel Raids now plan to be the dominant force and now wish to turn the tables and use humans instead. Elemental Gelade has come a long way in its direction to find Edel Garden, finding it and then seeking to protect it from the wrath of Chaos Choir. After being a popular manga penned by Mayumi Azuma, it has endured a variety of lives as an anime and a computer game on the PS2 and the Game Boy Advance, developed by TOMY, both are only expected to be released in Japan. It is the characters that shape the entire series. Cou Van Giruet and his trustee Edel Raid, Ren Metherlence the last of the Metherlence clan are a perfect duo who are relied on to get results, while Rowen, Cisqua's junior is polite and listens and has a bishonen quality about him the viewers will admire. Rowen knows how to keep everyone happy with his cooking and support when they travel around. Kuea Envatilla forms his dual swords when she is bonded with him. It has known world wide fame, and viewers of the anime know its strengths are in its believable and wonderfully drawn and animated characters and bold plotline, which leaves the viewer in no doubt that more of the same brilliance will be in the next volume at a later date. Elemental Gelade is a work of fantasy that has feeling and thought within it, it also has the reality of fate, death and destruction, which must be overcome by the characters themselves. EXTRAS:
