Kyoko has managed to wow everyone with her acting in the movie. Yet Ren, an experienced and flawless actor, shocks everyone by freezing on the set when the camera rolls. Kyoko is determined to get to the heart of it and help out Ren. But this could be a matter of the heart that she’s closer to than even she realizes.
The way she manages to surpass everyone’s expectations as an actor is amazing. Even then, she still cares a great deal about those around her. She does her best to cheer Ren and get to the heart of the problem plaguing him. It turns out Ren doesn’t think he has ever been in love and therefore cannot grasp the emotions and subtleties of the character that he must portray. However, some sage words from a disguised Kyoko leads to unexpected places when Ren realizes he may know something about falling in love after all… The possible romance between Kyoko and Ren takes a timid but heartfelt step in this volume. That step being at least one of these people maybe realizing how they feel. There’s also a bit of added mystery when readers see more glimpses of Ren’s childhood, his memories hinting at things that beg to be known. Meanwhile trouble is far from over for Kyoko, Sho is doing his best to hide his feelings but it seems he can’t get over her rise to fame. Is it just Sho’s unbearable pride? Or could the arrogant and selfish man who so abused Kyoko’s love actually hold an ember for her? It’s comedy, drama and more of that wonderfully off-beat humor in Skip Beat. IN SUMMARY: A fantastic outrageous romantic comedy that will keep you laughing and your heart hopeful. |
