Yuki Masami's Tetsuwan Birdy is set to make its long-awaited TV anime debut! Broadcast is set to begin in 2008. Tetsuwan Birdy is a science fiction title which has been running in Monthly Young Sunday since 2003.
The story begins with space terrorist Crystella Levy fleeing to earth, andSpace Federation Agent Birdy Cephon Altera chasing after her. During hermission, Birdy accidentally kills high school student Senkawa Tsutomu, butshe saves him by merging his memories and mind into her own body. The anime will use the manga's setting and design as a base, but it isplanned to branch off into anime original stories.
