"I want you to follow your own dreams, Joshua; figure out what you want in life. Don't let anyone stop you from taking it."

While battle rattles the fabric of the planet called Endless Illusion, the good guys discuss Priscilla and Van's up and coming wedding - the only proviso is that Priscilla in her mecha armour is not to let herself get killed in the process.

As the Claw initiates the Birthday Celebration - the base is being terra formed while the others battle it out among themselves.Joshua has to let his brother Ray fight, though it might lead to his death - Wendy and  Carmen make him promise to run if it gets dangerous for them. When Ray is brought back in his damaged mecha, he reveals he will be complete in his own mind once he confronts the enemy once and for all.

Joshua sees that he is his brother and he has to help him no matter what might happen, though Ray takes a different view.Ray asks Joshua a honest question, did he love Sheena, and Joshua says he did as she was so charming. He was actually in envy of their relationship as he had her love and her armour. He always wanted what Ray had and he was broken hearted for a while, yet he knew they loved each other even after she died.
Ray wants Joshua to follow his own path rather than following him around.

Carmen and Wendy crash though the perimeter of the Claw's facility, while Ray through his failing eyesight climbs the stairs to confront the Claw, wanting to know why it was he killed his bride. Wendy also confronts Michael and discovers more about him she did not know. Exactly how will this series end?

Gun Sword is now at its end and the last few episodes see Ray, Joshua, Wendy and Carmen trying to find themselves in the midst of all the danger, fighting and the possibility of the end of what they would call their world as they know it.

The result all depends on them pulling together except Joshua who still needs to find what he wants to do himself rather than watching over his own brother.

There have been some heart-stopping moments in this series but all these episodes of the final volume will be seen as the best yet.
