Harukiko’s life has become plagued by complicated women, women who are more often demons with varying motives in regards to his abilities. But he’s not the only young man with that problem. Adolph is still struggling to get his feelings across to the temperamental Lavoix. And an Enchanted piano might prove to be the key – or his ultimate undoing! Women are so difficult sometimes! As for Haruhiko, life’s about to get even more complicated for him when he tries to put his efforts into helping both Yuka and Eukanaria with often hilarious and not at all the originally intended results! Just when it could settle down, just maybe, a new female is on the scene. The Engraver Mercurio is back and she has a very special and personal request for Haruhiko. It’s never a dull moment in Enchanter!

The Lavoix and Adolph chapter that this volume begins with makes for an interesting counterpoint to Haruhiko and Eukanaria’s relationship. They do try to bridge the gap between them but with her sassy and seducing ways, it’s tough on a young man. The volume even has time for a sweet moment between him and Yuka when he discovers what motivated her to become a teacher. The humor turns to intrigue when Mercurio and Haruhiko cross paths again. He’s working on a special project for Eukanaria, one fueled further by Haruhiko’s suspicions about the vessel carrying her precious Fulcanelli’s soul. His time together with Mercurio is sweet, but that sweetness turns to mystery when she makes an odd request of him. Before he, or the readers, have a chance to figure it out, the volume ends on an angst-ridden cliffhanger with Mercurio in a terrible state and leaving us to wonder just what her request will entail for Haruhiko and what cost to herself should he not arrive in time.

IN SUMMARY:
This volume holds suspense and intrigue at the end, and sexy fan service with bawdy humor throughout. Throw in the engaging liveliness to it all and this fantasy is an all around win-win for readers.
