Kyoran Kazoku Nikki, written by Akira and illustrated by x6suke (Pekerokusuke), and published by Famitsu Bunko, it to be turned into a TVanime. It will begin airing April 2008.
Writer Akira is a young light novel author who won 5 new comer awards while still in high school, and Kyoran Kazoku Nikki won the 6th Entame award. Since starting in 2005, this series has built up to 8 main volumes and 2 "side story" volumes. A mook has even been published. It is very popular among young and old, boys and girls.
Enka, the incarnation of destruction which appeared 1,000 years ago, was killed, but he left behind the ominous words: 1,000 years from now, my child shall bring despair to this world." Now, 1,000 years later, through DNA analysis, many people and creatures have been discovered who could possibly be Enka's child. A strategy has been put in place to determine which one of them is actually Enka's child. It is "Operation: peaceful family," in which people live together as a family with those who could possibly be Enka's child. Midarezaki Ouka, Head of the Mobile Unit of Task Force Division 1 of the Countermeasures Bureau, is forced into participating in the operation as the "Father". Who could Enka's child be? The curtain is raised on the exciting new anime Kyoran Kazoku Nikki.
