Nabari no Ou, a manga about modern ninjas fighting over a secret art that is said to give the power to rule the world, is set to be turned into a TV anime. It will begin airing on TV Tokyo starting on April 6, every Sunday at 1:30 AM.
Nabari no Ou, currently running in Monthly G Fantasy (Square Enix), is avery popular work with 7 graphic novels published so far, and over 1,140,000 volumes in sales.
The greatest secret art, "Shinra Banshou," gave birth to the hidden world of Nabari. This forbidden art, which is said to give the power to rule the world, lurks within the body of a young boy named Rokujou Miharu. The storycenters around Rokujou, the ninjas trying to protect him, and the ninjas who want the power for themselves. The story of Nabari no Ou develops around ninja fighting and is full of mystery, but there is character drama as well: Miharu, who has lived without any connection to other people. Yoite, who wishes he could erase his own existence. Tobari, who continues to protect Miharu even while having doubts. Their drama as they deal with their own feelings and motivations is part of this series' attraction. Animation production will be by J.C. Staff, responsible for numerous hits nd known for their high quality. With their strong staff, they are sure tomake very detailed yet bold images. Expectations are high for this romance/action/drama played out by unique characters.
