It’s two movie specials for the price of one! DBZ fans get twice the punch at half the cost with the two DBZ TV specials: The History of Trunks and Bardock the Father of Goku told for the first time here, digitally remastered and in both the uncut English version and the original Japanese!

In the History of Trunks, fans get a kick in the gut when an alternate history reveals Goku has died! He’s bit the dust and his son Gohan is all grown up and buddies with Trunks. Things are bad with Earth. Androids 17 and 18 are using it as their personal stomping ground – with all kinds of stomping! Gohan proves his father’s son by standing up to the tyrants with Trunks right by his side. But the pivotal battle leaves a good man down and another hitting his Super Saiyan power in his enraged grief. Even then, will he be enough to end the tyranny of the devilish duo? A trip to the past might be Trunks only hope to save the future!

Bardock’s story is the super sweet deal in this double feature. As a hard core Goku fan I never thought anyone could seem cooler than him. But Bardock is a real man’s man, tough, fearless, and no one you’d ever want to mess with. But he’s working for Frieza! We all know he’s the mega bad guy. But Bardock has to learn it the hard way and man, is it harsh! His team that works for Frieza gets put down like dogs. Bardock gets cursed with visions of the future, his, his son’s and Vegeta’s. It doesn’t look good and the man of few words decides to take major action! It’s Frieza versus Bardock in a fight to the finish with the Planet Vegeta’s future in the line of fire!

Both TV specials rock the way only DBZ can. Fierce battles, tougher than nails heroes, the way anime action was meant to be. Plus the drama!  Best friends and comrades lost in front of their eyes, the fate of worlds depending on them, no wonder they have such massive shoulders! Seriously, its awesome action packed with intensity. The story of Bardock in particular is a must see for all DB fans because it brings the story full circle to where the DB saga begins. And Bardock is a character after this special, which all DB fans will remember with respect.

Digitally remastered, taken from the original transfers, it offers the movies in both an uncut English version and the original Japanese in picture perfect clarity. With the digital transfer, both films are sharper than ever. The specials run about 40 minutes each and the films are told with great fast pacing and reestablished crisp animation. The colors leap off the screen and so does the action!

EXTRAS:
Extra punches to this release include trailers of other FUNimation anime and an extra slick looking metal tin for the DVD case. It’s oh-so-shiny!

IN SUMMARY:
Two awesome DBZ movies in one slick tin case! It’s double the action with major character stories for iconic heroes. These specials are must see, must have for Dragonball Z fans.
