It’s more zany antics in the latest Hayate the Combat Butler! And in this volume he earns that name because combat is in the game when he has to help his mistress Nagi win a freestyle marathon – or lose his job! But with lazy Nagi, what are the odds of being able to win?
This isn’t any ordinary race. There’re shady butlers, surprise ambushes, and all sorts of interfering combatants! You’ve got to watch out for those sneaky butlers that like to do dastardly things. This is no cake walk for the duo. And Hayate also has to defend himself from that fiery Hina and on a rope bridge high, high, high up! Who knew being a butler would be so dangerous? Things only get worse for Hayate from there. Next the woebegone guy has to enter a training tiger pit for butlers! Will he be ripped to shreds?! The conniving cutie that has him at her mercy puts him through one zany training challenge after another. What any of these insane trials have to do with butlering is beyond me but is it ever funny! This whole series is one off the wall crazy curve ball adventure after another! Hayate has to go to a castle and fight a colossus if he ever hopes to serve Nagi again. Go Combat Butler, go! It also has bonus pages, comic panels and profiles at the end of the manga. IN SUMMARY: Hayate has to win a race or be thrown to the tigers! This manga serves up big laughs and zany stories to please everyone! |
