Kenta has finally learned the secret to Karin’s condition and that it’s his misfortune that arouses her blood splurges. Mistaking her empathy for pity, he rages and stomps off, wanting nothing to do with her again. Karin’s family couldn’t be happier that she’s been broken up from this lowly human. But when she doesn’t return to a regular vampire life easily, her vampire family considers taking matters into their own hands – and fangs!

Big developments happen in the latest volume of Chibi Vampire. The shake up (and sort of break up) between Kenta and Karin is at the heart of these current chapters, but there’s also a great deal with Kenta’s family, the return of his father, and Karin’s insecurity about losing the few precious human friends she has. Kenta’s family issues come to a head this volume when his mother goes to confront the long absent father herself. Readers will learn all about what happened to keep Shu away and see what Kenta says when he purposefully goes to meet his father…perhaps for the last time. There’s a great deal of family drama this issue and not only with Kenta. Karin’s family has quite the meeting regarding what to do about their different daughter and the human she’s staunchly in love with. It builds to a moment fans have all been waiting for: Karin at last biting Kenta! The aftermath could prove to either tear them apart for good, or at last move them forward a step in their timid relationship.

The biggest development would have to be the bite and how it affects the Kenta and Karin dynamic. It will definitely affect how they deal with things in the future let alone each other. There’s a change in the air...but will it be enough for a human and a vampire to find love together?

IN SUMMARY:
Kenta and Karin must find a way to bridge the sudden rift between them but family matters on both sides interfere. A bite may prove better than a kiss in this supernatural soap opera about a vampire in love. It’s literally a romance with bite!
