Yuasa thinks he has it made now that he’s maneuvered his way into Asashina’s house. But even though his sarcastic and lecherous teacher is fine having sex with him, their relationship is far from Yuasa’s ideal. But they have a lot more than each other to contend with. There’s Nagai who is staunchly in love with Yuasa and refuses to give up. And then there’s Kagami, the meddler and depraved classmate who is convinced nothing is too outrageous to try, say, or manipulate others into – even if that includes seducing Asashina-sensei!
The second volume of Prince Charming has a lot of surprises, even more robust humor and seductions everywhere and by almost everyone! This has to be one of the most entangled triangles (actually more of a square with the four of them) that yaoi has seen. It’s also one of the least antagonistic. Everyone honestly seems to care about the welfare of their fellow man, even when it’s their rival. They fight, have sex, fight some more, hang out, and repeatedly save each other’s hides when the situation calls. And call it will when those nasty criminals from last volume make a return appearance to no ones benefit. A bit of drama, a lot of romantic confusion, and hardy laughs are what’s in store this round. It’s quite the romp and a great change of pace from the regular yaoi manga with it’s unexpected turns and unique comedic take on the situation of these four men. Just who will end up with whom will keep you guessing until the very end. IN SUMMARY:
Prince Charming is a uniquely sly humored manga about quirky romantic entanglements that will keep surprising and readers guessing to the very last page.
