A brawling girl named Satsuki just may have met her match in this all new and lively romantic comedy. She gets into fights without a second thought and does everything on sheer impulse. That’s Satsuki through and through. Aya Sendo has been her longtime friend and is constantly bailing her out of trouble left, right and center. But the tides shift, and Aya is looking at Satsuki with all new eyes. He’s in love and wants to win her heart. But he’s got one tough fight headed his way to win the love of the most violent girl in the district!
Its great fun and big laughs in this comedy with heart. Satsuki isn’t some pointlessly violent girl. She throws herself into other peoples problems, helping rich girls out from getting robbed, switching uniforms with them just for fun, and even helping out the guys cheer team when they’re short a member. She’s all heart and guts. When it comes to romance, she needs a bit more common sense because she hasn’t a clue how gone Aya is over her. And he sure does have his hands full looking out for her. But despite his outwardly surly disposition, Satsuki always drags him along on her adventures and has a great time – she just has yet to figure out why she’s so happy whenever they’re together. The manga is fun and endearing with a lot of comedy for comedy’s sake. The art style is just as energetic and with as much hullabaloo as the story’s characters. Satsuki is girl always in motion and with her constantly being in action, the artist captures that feel of commotion that surrounds her. The illustrative style is busier than the average shoujo manga and stands apart for that, its intriguing character designs, and unique flow to the drawings. There’s a bonus story very similar in tone to the mains series, about a boy and girl who are both the tallest in their class. Sato has always had a hard time being such a tall girl. She stands out when all she wants is to fit in. She’s also fallen for Abe, the tallest boy, but he seems oblivious to her deep feelings. A carefully planned meal gone awry may tip the balance in the status quo. IN SUMMARY: It’s a fun romantic series with rough and tumble laughs. |
