Tetsuro wakes up in the Makishima family getaway home to find Sho is missing, tells the others while his friend wonders why he has just gone away on his own. Mizuki finds a letter from Agito saying he left with Sho and they were on their way to help his father escape capture.
As Makishima is useful to have with him as he knows his way around Relic's Point, he breaks his father out of the complex, slightly injured. Makishima has intense thoughts about their escape, pondering why there were hardly any guards on hand to oppose them, and thinks their breakout was far too easy. It is almost as though they were allowed to leave. Masaki Murakami senses Sho and Makishima are in grave danger, warning Tetsuro to gather the others and wait in the room as Zoanoids have been sent to attack them. Troubled, Tetsuro asks him why it is that he automatically knew they were going to be attacked. Is there more to the lone, mysterious reporter than meets the eye? When Agito is intercepted by Zoanoids, he orders Sho to leave with his father when Sho comes face to face with the menacing and ultra dangerous Enzyme 2. What can Sho do to protect him self and his father, and what is Commander Guyot planning for them later? All is to be revealed in this volume and the viewer will see how interesting and thrilling this anime series has become so early on. Volume four is tragic in a major way as it concentrates on Sho and his father who he has only just started to get to know from the previous volume.
Behind the scenes, when Sho is talking with Agito there lurks someone who works for Barcas and Guyot and he is Aptom, one of the "Lost Number Commandos" along with Dyme and Somlum who seek to watch over Sho to find his next moves.
There are other twists and turns within these episodes that unravel the story making it into one complex plot Sho is involved in to the full. Interestingly, Masaki tells the group more about the history of the Guyvers and the first Zoanoids, going into grand detail as to their reason for existence, so Sho and Agito learn more than they wanted to. EXTRAS: This fourth volume of Guyver The Bioboosted Armor also comes with a 28 page booklet showing an interview with Junki Takegami, character profiles which come with spoilers, an interview with Katsuyuki Konishi who voices the role of Agito Makishima, Zoanoid files, Guyver files, an intriguingly beautiful Art collection and detailed episode guide, commentary with Lowell Bartholemee, Charles Campbell (ADR Director) Manga-to-Anime comparison, clean opening animations and clean closing animation. IN SUMMARY: Tragic, merciless - brilliantly written with an air of irony. Sho's character just gets better. Graphically amazing!
