ALAMO FANS - THANK YOU GREG AYRES!!!

After learning that the screening of Welcome to the NHK Vol. 2 was canceled at the last minute yesterday evening, Greg Ayres, who has one of the lead roles in the series, stopped by the Alamo Drafthouse and handed free Welcome to the NHK posters to the fans that were unaware of the cancellation. While the fans were dissappointed with the cancelation, they appreciated that Greg took time to be with them and had a great time talking to him.

Dang, where was I when Greg was there? Food court probably. 
I hope this cancellation is not ADV's way of phasing out anime night. I plan my whole life around Tuesday nights. On more than one occasion it has saved my sanity--or at least my week. :)

Yes there was a bit of dissapointment to find out it was cancelled, but Greg did make up for it when he showed up. Him bringing posters to hand out was an added bonus.

His arrival was a nice surprise for a all the fans who braved the cold misty weather to come out for what has been a weekly tradition for over two years. Disappointments aside, it was a very nice gesture that was greatly appreciated. Thank you Greg!

Greg showing up and passing out the posers was great and so was the chatting. Once again showing that he cares for the fans. So thanks again Greg we all appreciate you taking time from your busy schedule to console us from the distressing news of no anime.

I agree saying that it was great to have Greg come out there and apologize which he really didn't have to since it was a shock to everyone. Even if Greg didn't bring the posters it was a treat to stand out there with him talking/complaining (using a clean word) about various items. Once again Greg shows that he is a top-notch guy who cares about the fans (since he is a fan as well).
