Ninja Vixens: Flame of Seduction – here’s a movie that you can pretty much judge by the cover (or just the title). The selling points are made fairly obvious on the back cover if you’d already missed the signs on the front. “Three of Japan’s hottest actresses reveal their hidden charms in this torrid tale!” and “Her heart burns with vengeance... and desire!” are the headlines not to miss. If you are looking for a story, plot, or good characterization – for you this film is not. If you’re looking for a cheap thrill and maybe a few laughs or raised eyebrows, Ninja Vixens is your ticket.
Featuring Tokyo’s supposedly hottest number-one young actress, Sara Shimada, and newcomers Nao Oikawa (“the temptress queen”) and Shou Azaki, Ninja Vixens certainly plays up on what charms and assets the film’s actresses want to offer to the viewer. The plot is fairly absent (something about vengeance and awkward sex), but the nudity and weird ninja stuff is very prevalent. You can expect to be treated to semi-consensual make-out sessions, S + M, and “baths” about every 10 minutes for the entirety of the film. The Vixens will pull all their ninja tricks, including wearing very small ninja outfits, not wearing ninja outfits, and of course firing attack needles out of their “extremities.” The nudity is kept to just breasts and fully naked bodies being viewed from the back. The violence is minimal – in fact, the most potentially violent scenes involve a knife being traced over a blindfolded Shou Azaki’s “assets.”
This film is what you would considered a B-movie in American standard. Don’t expect to be wowed or see anything totally unique (unless you’ve never seen a naked girl before). Do expect to laugh a bit, and shake your head for more reasons than you can count on your fingers. Do tell your friends that you found it dumbfounding and still wonder at its existence. Don’t show it to your parents. This film is what you make of it, and if you’re willing to take it with a grain of salt, it might just be worth experiencing... just so you can say you did.

Ninja Vixens isn’t a run-of-the-mill B-Movie – it’s THE B-Movie. It’s possible that some people would find the film entertaining on a “porn level” or even just because they enjoy the feel or the laughs that are unique to most B-Movies. Take it or leave it.
