Unusual happenings at a mansion house cause Police to investigate five suicides that have all occurred one after the other even though they all point toward murder. Four girls all attending the same high school wake up with no memory of what they did the night before - and when they try to remember, they are unable to as they perceive what they saw to be too horrible to recollect.

Once the girls are in class, the Police inform them that one of their school friends, Lisa has been found and is unfortunately classified as a suicide.

Later, the girls still cannot remember what went on that night until Claire, Rachel, Kate and Rose all meet up after school when they all experience seeing red butterflies flying around them, then in the distance a woman arrives to tell the four of them a most horrifying thing about the events that brought them to her. Something they never wanted to hear, but what the woman tells them actually clarifies everything.

Once they realise what they are meant to do, they enter into a world of danger and a group of hunters that are bloodthirsty and wild stalks them in the night.

In Red Garden, the four girls find out how they must cope with the worked around them. First in everyday life at school, and how they interact with the other students. And secondly, in their new life where at night they face all manner of danger from being in contact with man-beasts who only mean them harm.

The girls have to work together as a team if they want to succeed in their tasks. Some have to leave their attitudes behind and actually become friends with the others if they are to live. It was interesting to find how reluctant they were to want to get to know each other at the beginning of the story, but how they really had to get over the problems of actually not liking their fellow classmates.

Red Garden is an avant-garde look at the four students lives and how they have been turned around by unseen events. It is also an intriguing look at how normal children can be pushed into certain events out of their control and be made to understand others and their dire circumstances. This will be enjoyed by those viewers who are interested in psychological horror and school dramas.
