Yahoo Japan posted the Top 10 (out of 100 titles) voted as favorite anime for 2007, and sola took the top spot from over 2 million Japanese votes.

3. Katei Kyoshi Hitman Reborn (130,000 votes)
4 .Ookiku Furi Kabutte
5 .Higurashi
6. Gintama
7. Nanoha StrikerS
8. Nanatsuiro Drops
9. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
10. Hidamari Sketch

The article also reported that people who participated in the vote and didn't see their favorite anime in the top ten stated that "I'm extremely disappointed".

	1. sola (Good anime, but nothing special)  2. Lucky Star (Overated, half its fanbase just watches it for the OP dance)  3. Katei Kyoshi Hitman Reborn (Excellent, but I wouldn't have ranked it quite this high)  4. Ookiku Furi Kabutte (Sports anime, not my kind of genre)  5. Higurashi (Deserves a higher rank, often praised more than that which is warranted)  6. Gintama (Deserves its rank)  7. Nanoha StrikerS (Good anime, but it doesn't really stand out)  8. Nanatsuiro Drops (Dull plot, not noteworthy)  9. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (Best anime I've seen from that year, rank 1)  10.
